During lockdown there was an explosion of smart phone use and on-line meetings using Zoom and go to Webinar. This mass experiment was born out of necessity, and it worked. Companies and professionals managed to stay in touch through an easy “ plug and play “.
The problem, which is very common, does not lie in understanding the technology, but in knowing how to maximise its use.
Technology in itself is not enough. Every train goes on rails, but that is not the beginning and end of the journey.
So as not to miss the opportunities this moment offers, you really need to study again. A Webinar is different from a lecture or a video conference. You have to know what is possible before you start, how to hook up, how the participants will function, and the quality of the technology used. You have to be aware of the opportunities the software companies offer.
To repeat, technology is nothing if we do not know what we are doing. technology alone does not hold anyone’s attention if we do not touch their emotions. We have to be creative.
